A friend asked me the other day what is so special about Marseille soaps. I’ve been using them for years, in France and here in Australia. Used by my great grand-mother, grand-mother and my own mother, I’m just following the family tradition. Despite, I must admit, using some commercial soaps -the most natural possible and without EDTA- when I’m running out , I assure her that Marseille soap is the best soap she will ever find. I come up with a list all the good reasons she must give it a try.
Today, it’s my name’s day. Most Australians don’t understand this mostly European tradition and more often find it really weird and quite insignificant.
Ok, it is a bit exaggerated, but very funny! French stereotypes are still very thick skinned. Will you be tempted to add anything else in this list?
Bon d’accord, c’est un peu exagéré, mais c’est tout de même très marrant! Les stéréotypes Français ont décidemment la peau dure ! Et vous, que rajouteriez-vous à cette liste?
What a great art exhibition in the middle of Bordeaux! C’est magnifique!
